Icelandair has announced that it will fly to Miami for the first time in its history, marking an exciting expansion for the airline and a new opportunity for travelers looking to connect between Iceland and South Florida.
The airline will operate the route using its brand-new Airbus A321LR aircraft, the first of which was delivered just last month. The aircraft features 187 seats, including 22 in Saga Premium and 165 in economy, offering passengers a comfortable travel experience.
Flights between Miami International Airport and Reykjavik will begin on October 26, 2025, with service initially scheduled to run three times per week through March 29, 2026.
The estimated flight time from Reykjavik to Miami is expected to be approximately 7 hours and 40 minutes. The return flight to Iceland will take about 8 hours and 40 minutes.
With this new route, Miami International Airport now has regularly scheduled flights to all five sovereign Scandinavian countries. The addition of Icelandair’s service brings the airport’s total number of European destinations to 21, further strengthening its position as a key gateway between the United States and Europe.
Travelers looking for a unique and scenic connection between Miami and Iceland will now have a new option, offering both business and leisure passengers more flexibility and convenience.
