Miami Beach Breaks Ground on $29.4M Lincoln Road Project

Miami Beach has officially launched a $29.4 million construction project to transform part of Lincoln Road and expand its pedestrian-friendly spaces.

As part of the improvements, Drexel Avenue (from Lincoln Lane South to Lincoln Lane North) will become fully pedestrianized. A brand-new outdoor performance space will also be added at the intersection of Lincoln Road and Drexel Avenue, creating a vibrant hub for cultural events and community gatherings.

The project will further enhance Lincoln Road with new paving and lighting, expanded café seating, and lush landscaping with additional trees and plants.

This initiative is part of Phase 2 of Lincoln Road’s ongoing revitalization, which also includes upgrades at Meridian Avenue—where a separate groundbreaking ceremony will take place.

Design oversight is being led by Field Operations, with completion anticipated in about a year.
