Attention Floridians!  The Hometown Heroes housing assistance program has granted over $50 million in down payment and closing cost aid to Florida's first-time homebuyers who are hometown heroes! This includes healthcare professionals, educators, law enforcement officers, and active military personnel or veterans. Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the program, which began in June 2022, has helped almost 3,500 hometown heroes purchase their first Florida home in the community where they serve.
